Full Member - $185.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: September 1st No automatically recurring payments Graduates of any psychoanalytic institute, such as the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, who meet the professional and ethical standards essential to the practice of psychoanalysis are eligible for full membership. Active members of the American Psychoanalytic Association are also eligible for full membership. Faculty members of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis who graduated from institutes not affiliated with the Chicago Institute and who meet the professional and ethical standards are eligible for full membership. Full members are entitled to vote, to act as chairpersons or members of committees, and are eligible for all elective offices. Prospective full members must receive approval by the President of the Society.

Candidate Member - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: September 1st No automatically recurring payments Candidates who are matriculated at a psychoanalytic institute, such as the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, are eligible for candidate membership. Candidate members may attend scientific and business meetings, are eligible to vote, to participate in all discussions, and to serve on appropriate committees, including being selected or elected as chairperson, and becoming officers of the Society.

Student Member - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: September 1st No automatically recurring payments Students other than candidates, such as students in other programs at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, students receiving psychoanalytic education at other institutes, or students in undergraduate or graduate programs, are eligible to be student members. They are not eligible to vote. They may serve in positions at the Society, such as committee members, at the discretion of the President.

Affiliate Member - $90.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: September 1st No automatically recurring payments Individuals not included in the above categories who have an interest in psychoanalysis may become affiliate members. Examples include academics, psychotherapists, and members of the general public. They are not eligible to vote or to serve in positions at the Society.
